"The prophet Isaiah indicted Judah in the name of God as a lawbreaker, and his prophecy begins with an indictment as well as a summons to return to the Lord. “Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah” (Isa. 1:10). The curses of the law, of Deuteronomy 28, shall descend upon Judah and Jerusalem, “Because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel” (Isa. 5:24)."
